Counseling Clinic
Dr. Jeana Magyar-Moe earned her degree in Counseling Psychology
from the University of Kansas and currently works
as an Associate Professor of Psychology at UW-Stevens Point.

or strengths-based perspective. She believes that all people have both
strengths and weaknesses, and all people exist within environments that
influence them in both positive and negative ways. Dr. Magyar-Moe attends
to all of these components in her work with clientele in order to treat
the whole person, rather than focusing solely upon areas of struggle.
Dr. Magyar-Moe works primarily with adults who desire assistance with
the following: depression, anxiety, grieving, stress-management,
relationship issues, adjustment to life changes or transitions,
self-esteem issues, and behavior modification. She also has expertise
in conducting career counseling, providing sport psychology services,
and engaging in psychological testing and assessment.
Dr. Magyar-Moe is a member of the Board of Directors for the National
Wellness Institute and is the Chair of the Positive Psychology Section
of the American Psychological Association's Society of Counseling
Psychology. She is the author of a new book published by Elsevier
